- The game begins when the dealer distributes two hole cards to each and every player and places five community cards on the table facing upside down.
- Now the first person sitting on the left of the dealer button puts in the small blind. After him, the person sitting on the immediate left of the first player puts in the big blind. From thereon, the game flows in a circular direction and the first betting round takes place in this flow.
- Then the dealer turns the first three out of five cards facing upwards. This round is known as ‘flop’. After flop, a betting round takes place in which the strongest hand wins the pot.
- Now the fourth out of five community cards is dealt faced up by the dealer. This round is known as ‘turn’. Again a betting round takes place in which the strongest hand takes the pot.
- After turn, the final community card is dealt faced up and all the players try to form the best five card hand out of the seven cards provided to them. After the final card has been dealt faced up, the strongest hand on the table wins the game.
